United Church of Christ, Congregational
...a Community Church of Boxborough, Mass.

Greetings from the Pastor

Welcome to our website! I hope that our website will give you a good sense of the rich heritage of this faith community as well as its vibrant witness in the present and hope for the future. We would love to welcome you as a full participant in our common life and witness to the love of God in our midst as well as the broader community.  God has endowed us all with gifts of discipleship and we would like to be part of your further development and exploration of the growth and faith that God is calling you toward.  Likewise, we hope to grow stronger in our witness because of your presence and participation.

A word about my own background. I was raised in the Catholic Church in Germany but have found my home in the United Church of Christ. What has drawn me to the denomination is the commitment to wrestling with questions of faith, a commitment to diversity of thought and expression, and its base democratic polity that honors the autonomy of the local church within a covenantal wider church structure.

I am particularly interested in promoting the spiritual growth of members and have training in spiritual guidance. Spiritual growth, I believe, has to do with the integration of faith in the ordinary living of our days. It also expresses itself in the desire to reach out to others, a strength of the United Church of Christ, Congregational in Boxborough. Other interests of mine include ecumenism, prayer, reading, movies, laughter, hiking and wrestling with the questions life brings. How about you? Come visit and share of yourself!

Yours in Christ,

Ute Molitor, Pastor
