Mission: IU
is a dynamic ministry that involves the recycling of serviceable computer equipment at the end of it's life-cycle (as defined by most businesses). These computers are, usually, one generation behind the state of the art, but still quite useful to missionaries for personal use and for setting up high technology classrooms in the third world. The computers are donated to Mission: IT as a tax-deductible donation to charity and then the systems are physically cleaned using graffiti remover, they are vacuumed out to remove dust and lint build up, they have their hard drives forensically sanitized to erase all of the donator's corporate proprietary data, the systems are then hardware tested and then finally new operating systems installed, so they are ready to operate as soon as they reach the mission field. Mission: IT partners with missions organizations such as Meeting God in Missions.
