Vacation Bible School - Market Place 29AD

June 23 - 25, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

An annual Vacation Bible School, Market Place 29AD, takes the participants back to Jesus' time and is usually held in June. Created on the grounds behind the education building, adults and youth become shopkeepers in the market place promoting items and concepts common to 29 AD. The children are placed in one of the 12 tribes of Israel to experience some of the Hebrew family customs. Children of many ages can visit the Market Place to learn about the many shops, to work on various crafts, to sing, and to enjoy dramas based on stories of Jesus.

During the year additional education opportunities are sponsored by the Baltimore North Cluster of Churches (Mt. Carmel being a member of the cluster) which have included story telling, banner making, and reading scripture workshops, Men's study seminars, and Disciple Bible studies. The Baltimore North Cluster Men's group usually meet the 3rd Saturday of each month for breakfast at one of the churches on the cluster and have fellowship, learning experiences and worship.
