Mount Zion Chapel is located on Route 9A in Wells, Maine. We have services twice on Sunday and throughout the week. We are a Pentecostal Church.
We believe in being filled with the Holy Ghost and letting the Holy Ghost lead. We believe that Jesus came to earth in the form of a baby and was born for the purpose of saving us from our sins. Jesus also taught us about the Father. At the age of 33 Jesus was put to death on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. He rose from the dead and now sits at the right hand of the Father where He is making intercession for us. What a gift He gave! What incredible love He has for us all.
He gives us gifts of the spirit such as; speaking in tongues, prophecy, gifts of healing/miracles. He gives us peace, joy, laughter and an understanding of what His word says and how we need to apply to our lives. With this knowledge, we can bring souls to Him to be saved. We can build one another up in faith and reach out to a lost, struggling and dying world. It is our responsibility as Christians to tell the world of the Love of our Lord and Savior. It is our responsibility to let them know that they can have all of what the Lord has to give each of them if they just repent and give it all to Jesus. He is no respecter of persons, He waits for everyone with open arms. Once you have felt the safety and confort of being in the loving arms of Jesus, nothing in this world will ever be the same.
We have an anointed worship team. Preaching is done Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings by Pastor Terry Courtney. Sundays nights we have the privilege of having a guest speaker/minister. Our Pastor preaches the truth and does so that it is understood by all. If you don't understand, ask him, he'll certainly explain it to you! He teaches us about the occurrences of today and what we have to do to be ready for the Lord's coming. He is a caring Pastor, all you need to do is call him if you need prayer or you just need to talk...
