Christ is Risen!  Indeed He is Risen!

• On Friday, May 22nd, the Dormition Monastery in Rives Junction celebrates the Sacrament of Holy Unction beginning at 6pm. 
• On Saturday, May 23rd, we celebrate Great Vespers and Confessions as normal, except that we begin at 4pm!
• On Sunday, May 24th, we celebrate Matins at 8:50am and Divine Liturgy at 10am.  During Coffee Fellowship, our Teen SOYO will be having a Relay for Life Lunch -- Please plan on attending!
• On Wednesday, May 27,  we celebrate the Evening Divine Liturgy of the Great Feast of our Lord's Ascension into Heaven on the 40th Day at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church beginning at 6pm.
• On Saturday, May 30th, we celebrate Great Vespers and the First Confessions of our 2nd Grade Church School Class beginning at 5pm.
• On Sunday, May 31st, we celebrate Matins at 8:50am and Divine Liturgy at 10am.

• On Wednesdays and Fridays, the traditional fasting discipline is to abstain from eating and drinking meat, poultry, cheese, milk, eggs, fish, wine, olive oil, and their by-products.  On Wednesday, May 27th -- the Leavetaking of Pascha -- there is no fasting.

• I am saddened to inform you that after a long-term illness, +Nader David, husband of Khawleh and brother to Tom David, Nawal Odeh, and Nadera Ghantous, fell asleep in the Lord yesterday morning, May 19th.  Visitation (today from 4pm-8pm, with the Trisagion Service at 7:30pm) and the Funeral Service (tomorrow, May 21st at 10am) will take place here at St. George.  May Nader's memory be eternal with all of the saints.  Please keep the David Family in your prayers asking God to grant them comfort.
• Our Ladies Auxiliary is in the process of preparing for their upcoming Mideast Community Lunch and Bake Sale which takes place on Thursday, May 28th from 11am-3pm.  Because of +Nader's funeral on Thursday, they postponed their baking to THIS Friday, May 22nd.  If you have any questions or need tickets for the lunch, please contact Hiam Bathish (e@bathish.com).
• Our Young Adult Fellowship (YAF) scheduled for this Saturday has been canceled.
• Tuesday, May 26th is our day to feed the hungry at the North End Soup Kitchen from 9am-1pm.  For more information or to signup, please contact our coordinators, Jim and Evelyn Delbridge (jimdelbridge@charter.net).
• Our Arabic/English Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, May 28th from 12:30-2pm.
