Did you know that our Media Center has items that might interest and/or aid you in your efforts for your ministry? Small Group Bible study books, Awana and Stephen's Ministry resources are available to name a few.

If you work with children, we recommend that you take a look at Children's Ministry Magazine put out by Group Publishers. It has great ideas and suggestions for working with kids.

Take a look at the books in our Evangelism/Ministry Aids section of the library (orange dot).

We have some great videos and DVDs such as Moses and the 10 Commandments with Charles Heston, or on Creation Science that you may want to use in your class or view in your home.

If you have any suggestions or requests for items that would be helpful to the Christian Education Department, please write your requests down and leave them at the Media Center circulation desk.

Media Center & Christian Education

Did you know that the Media Center's ministry is categorized and funded under the Christian Education Department? With that in mind, the chief goal of the Media Center is to provide materials that will educate and encourage the congregation in their Christian faith.

At the very least, resources found in the library should uphold biblical truths and principles such as honesty, obedience and self control. Occasionally someone will ask if we will take secular books in the Media Center. Since the secular media industry has very little to offer that meets the standards listed above, and we have limited shelf space in our one-room library, in most cases, secular items would be the exception rather than the rule.

A Unique Opportunity
While most of our ministry opportunities within the Christian Education Department occur within the walls of our church building, the Media Center is unique in it's ability to reach families with Christian publications and resources within the walls of individual family homes. Given the poor selection that has flooded our culture by the entertainment industry, the Media Center offers a wonderful opportunity for families to find materials that educate, encourage, and entertain from a Christian World View.

Circulation Times
Books are 2 weeks. Audio/visuals are 1 week (7days). With returns, please be sure to place returned items IN the return box and NOT back on the shelf. We need to "check in" each item returned or our records will indicate that the item is still out in your name.
