Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church is a community of baptized believers in the Lord Jesus Christ.  We hold to the teachings of Holy Scripture as, also confessed in the Book of Concord.  We are affiliated with the Michigan District of The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod.  We are a liturgical church.

Join us Sunday mornings to hear God's Word and receive God's mercy in the Gospel and Sacraments.

Our Pastor:

Reverend David Ulm

The Worship Service:

The historic Church of Jesus Christ is a liturgical assembly of believers gathered around Word and Sacrament. Good Shepherd Church adheres closely to the Divine Services as found in Lutheran Worship and the Hymnal Supplement '98. Wednesday night services, held only during Advent and Lent, include the Divine Offices of Vespers or Evening Prayer.

Who is the Good Shepherd?

"I am the Good Shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep." (John 10:14-15)

The words above introduce us to Him who is our Savior, Jesus Christ. He is the One who loves us so much that He sacrificed gladly His own life on a cross that His sheep (you and I) might be saved for heaven and everlasting life! Because He died and rose again from the dead, all who believe and follow Him in faith will also overcome death and live with God forever.

The people of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church believe in the 'Good Shepherd', Jesus Christ, and seek to follow Him. We welcome you into our midst and invite you to join us in the regular worship and adoration of Him who offers salvation, comfort, and peace to all who place their confidence and trust in Christ.

Sunday School is held September through May at 9:45 a.m.  Classes are offered for Nursery (3 years old) through Eighth Grade.

High School youth meet also at 9:45 a.m. for Bible study and for youth activity planning meetings. Youth Counselors are Sandy Borkowski, Wendy Lapointe, and Michelle Santini. All youth, ninth grade and up are welcome!

The Adult Forum meets each Sunday at 10:05 a.m. in the church nave. It is taught by the pastor. All are welcome for a learning experience and lively discussion.
