Peoples Presbyterian Church ............... 734-439-1922 .................

A place to belong ... A place to become ... A place to make a difference

Peoples Presbyterian Church has been serving the community in Milan, Michigan since 1878. As part of the Presbyterian Church (USA), Peoples is part of a religious denomination known for its open dialogue, scriptural heritage, and form of governance closely matching our national government. Each church in the denomination, however, reflects the people who are a part of that particular community of faith, and we are no exception. This congregation of 233 members has a strong musical heritage represented today in its vocal and handbell choirs; an open and questioning Christian Education program for both adults and children; a membership care focus represented by the Board of Deacons established early in 1998; active youth groups, and a style of worship that incorporates both traditional and contemporary elements. The sermons preached are grounded in scripture but are practically applied and spiced with real-life stories and issues. The members of Peoples Presbyterian Church are not afraid to question our role in the world or dialogue in a way that deepens our spiritual understanding.

Because we are not afraid to question and dialogue, because we accept and honor the diversity of our individual viewpoints, because we do believe that the Bible can help us come to grips with the problems of today, and because we believe fully in the hope offered in the saving love of Jesus Christ, we have seen the church grow, and we expect that to continue. The members of the church are committed to fellowship. We genuinely enjoy each other. The church is engaged in helping others, and does so in its mission outreach locally and overseas. In short, we are what the name says, we are Peoples church. We are here for each other; we are here for those who are searching, or who are in need. And we are here by the grace of God, commissioned to share the saving love of the gospel of Jesus Christ to all who come. Feel free to join us any time. Worship is at 10:00 a.m. every Sunday.
