History and Purpose
The Aroma Coffeehouse got its start on December 4 of 1999 when the Battle Creek Seventh Day Baptist Church began a new project, an evening contemporary service. Local bands gave of their time and talents to provide worship music and we praised the Lord together for over three years in our sanctuary upstairs, and weekly messages were given by Pastor Kory Geske. As time went on, we decided to make some changes and moved down to the basement where there is a stage and a more informal environment where people could feel more free to relax and have some coffee. Thus, on February 1 of 2003, the Aroma Coffeehouse began.
The bands have changed, the messages remain Bible-based, and the people come and have a good time. Here is a friendly, relaxing, fun environment with a wide variety of musical styles to suit just about anyone's taste. Christ Jesus is at the center of it all, and we come together from various denominational backgrounds to lift His Name up high and to fellowship and worship with each other in this exciting way. It is a good place to bring your unsaved friends where they can get a little taste of what Christianity is like and where the gospel message is proclaimed in love and in truth. Please contact me at the church or by email if you have any questions. I hope you can find the time to come on a Saturday night to experience what we are all about!
