Lord's Supper - Today we are celebrating the Lord's Supper in our worship service. In administering the Lord's Supper, we are bound by Christian love for those we commune and by the Word of God in 1 Corinthians 11:23-29 where God warns us against administering or receiving the Lord's Supper in a harmful manner. God's Word also teaches us that communing together is a confession of unity in doctrine. We would not wish to place anyone in a position of agreeing with us before having the opportunity to instruct them. For these reasons, we ask that any visitors who are not members of a WELS or ELS congregation to please wait to commune until have a chance to instruct regarding thses matters. If you are communing please sign up before the service on the sheet in the narthes. To help you prepare for communion please see page 15 in the hymnal. |
