DO YOU WANT JUSTICE?
Would it make you mad if over 100,000 people were shot, strangled, stabbed or poisoned and no one was brought to justice? If someone you love is among the victims you no doubt would be outraged by this injustice. Each year nationally only about 50% of homicides are ever solved. It makes sense then that there will be final justice for those murderers on the Day of Judgment.
That might not be good news to you because, the Bible warns that God will be very thorough on that Day. God will judge all sin, not just violent criminals and murderers. Here is a checklist of some of the Ten Commandments to see if you should be worried: Have you ever lied (even once)? Have you ever stolen anything, even something small like candy or a pen?
Jesus said, "Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her, has committed adultery already with her in his heart." Have you ever looked with lust? If you have said "Yes" to these three questions, by your own admission, you are a lying, thieving, adulterer at heart; and we’ve only looked at three of the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:1-17). Remember that God sees the attitude of your heart, not just your actions.
After you die and stand before God as we all will, will you be innocent or guilty? You know that you will be guilty, and end up in Hell. That’s not God’s will. He provided a way for you to be forgiven. God sent His Son, Jesus Christ to take your punishment: "God commended His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Jesus then rose from the dead and defeated death.
If you repent (turn from your sin) and trust Jesus Christ, God will forgive you and grant you everlasting life. Read the Bible and obey what you read. Pray daily and gather with God’s people at a Bible believing church. God will never let you down. For more information contact Living Waters Pub.
