Pastor's Annual Report for 2009:

2009 saw a lot of activity and improvements here at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. We, the eccelsia--gathered ones, have been gathering for worship on Sunday mornings, mid-week services during Lent, and other occasions regularly during 2009. It is good to come together as the Body of Christ, the church.

Members of the congregation have read appointed Bible readings during the worship hour. The church laity also offers prayer during the services. There is ample opportunity for everyone to join in bringing the congregation's concerns into the presence of God.

Our Saviour's is blessed with many musically talented members. From the organist to individual and choir vocalists, much is added to the church's raising of our voices and hearts to God in holy worship.

It is good to see the fine, young people in our Sunday School. We are glad to see our mature students who also meet regularly on Sunday mornings as well. The neighborhood is welcome to join Our Saviour's Sunday School. There is always a place for you.

The congregation continues to meet during most of the year for mid-week Bible studies. We will resume the regular 5pm Wednesday night Bible study time after the observance of the Lenten season. HINT: Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent, is on February 17th this year.

Our Saviour's continues to support the missionary work in Brazil through the good efforts of John and Ruby Abel. Our vision of God's church looks beyond ourselves here on the 4 corners of French Lake.

To all who have made activities possible at Our Saviour's and to all of our members we offer a big GOD BLESS YOU!. Thank you for the many ways of serving--cleaning, singing, teaching, playing organ, ushering, counting of offerings, serving on the church boards, making of the bulletins, decorating the church, and many other ways. BUT MOST IMPORTANT THANK YOU FOR YOUR FAITHFUL PRESENCE AS WE WORSHIP THE FATHER, THE SON AND THE HOLY SPIRIT. AMEN and AMEN

In Jesus' Name, Amen!  from: Pastor Edward M Groop
