This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24

Telling the Story:

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.  Amen

Since the beginning, God has been telling the story of His great love and salvation. The sun, moon and stars all help tell the story, a story as old as creation, and as new as this present moment. In the stories of the Holy Scriptures, we hear chapters of the bigger story, the story of God's salvation--the story of His love for all the world.

In the person of Jesus, the master story-teller, God Himself came to tell the great story, Jesus came to live the story of God's love. As we gather in worship God still comes among us to tell us again the story we long to hear.

God, our great story-teller, we pray that You weave us into the story of Your salvation. Give us words to speak, daring deeds to do, and Christian characters to become. Teach us to tell the story with our words and to live the story with our lives.

For this story is as beautiful as it is true, the story of Your salvation.

Offering

Confession of Faith: I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ His only Son, our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary; suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Almighty; from then He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit; the holy Christian Church, the Communion of Saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting.  Amen.
