Meet the Staff at

New Spirit

Dick Nichols has been pastor of New Spirit for over three years. He brings with him many years experience in a variety of different fields including having worked at a city hospital as chaplain. Dick’s quiet pastoral approach to people is found to be reassuring by many people. He is always willing to listen and discuss anything anyone feels the need to share.

Candy Moffitt, our accompanist, brings light and life to the music of New Spirit. During the school year, she is a teacher in the Shakopee Public Schools.  Candy uses her exceptional musical talents to enhance our Sunday worship.

Linda Bican is our child care professional. Her love of little children is unlimited. During the school year, she works with Special Needs children in the Prior Lake High School. Linda says her week is much better when she can come in to New Spirit and share her time with our children.

Larry Ellestad does a superior job of maintaining New Spirit for us. He is regularly employed by the City of Golden Valley. Larry is an invaluable cog in the workings of New Spirit as he toils behind the scenes.
