LORD'S DAY GATHERINGS

AM Lord's Day: Opening, 9:00; Class, 9:20; Preaching  11:00; Evening, 6:30 PM

These gathering emphasize Edification and Participation. Classes have discussion. Each sermon is followed by an exhortation and and the opportunity for comments and observations from the audience.

Each service includes opening thoughts, singing, a calling (a short exposition of some Scriptural theme),  sermon, exhortation, Lord's Supper meditation and the Lord's Supper, and prayers. Provision is made for specials, testimonies, and the sharing of insightful thoughts.

Current Class subjects are taught by rotating teachers. Subjects Colossians (Ricky Sims, (3) First Thessalonians (Robert Cobb), (4) The book of Second Peter (June Blakely, (5) Zechariah (Michael Blakely), and (6) The 119th Psalm (Gene Hutchcraft).

The book of Hebrews (Aaron Hutchcraft), (2) The Book of Colossians (Ricky Sims), (3) The Twelfth chapter of Hebrews  (Robert Cobb), The Book of Zechariah (Michael Blakely), and Various Perespectives of God from Isaiah 42 (Gene Hutchcraft).

Current PM sermons are delivered on a rotating basis. Presently, subjects being covered include (1) Israel, A Type of the Church (Given O. Blakely), (2) The Book of Hebrews, Aaron Hutchcraft (3) The Eighth Chapter of Romans (Ricky SIms), and (4) The book of Philippians (Jeremy Williams), The Book of Zechariah (Michael Blakely).


 

WEDNESDAY MEETING

Prayer, 6:30 PM; Teaching from Malachi, 7:30 PM -- Given O. Blakely, teacher

Teaching provides for discussion.


FRIDAY MEETINGS

Every other Friday -- Hungry Saints Meeting, teaching from Acts, 7:00 PM. G. O. Blakely

These are extensive sessions, lasting approximately two hours, with discussion. Currently we are going through the book of Acts, with brother Blakely teaching. 108 lessons on Acts will be taught. Meetings are held in the Blakely home, 406 S Sergeant St, Joplin MO (417)782-3063.

REFRESHING WATERS

A three day preaching festival beginning the first Tuesday of every August. The meeting for 2007 is scheduled for August 7,8,9. The 2007 Renewal will be held at the First Christian Church in Carl Junction, Missouri. Boyce Mouton is the minister there.

A theme is developed by 13-15 sermons, and numerous sermonettes and testimonies. The 2007 theme is "WHAT JESUS IS DOING NOW."

Sessions also feature an afternoon audience discussion of the topic, and a special session for open testimonies..


A TABLE IN THE WILDERNESS

These gatherings are held every Spring from Friday evening through Lord's Day evening. Several speakers develope a central theme. Participation is enjoyed by all, with special presentations by the young people, and testimonies of those who have come to see the truth with greater clarity.

The  Table in the Wilderness is held  during the second week of April of each year -- Friday through Sunday. Friday and Sunday the meetings will be held at the Blakely home. Saturday they are held in the Don DeWelt Prayer Center, on the Good News Production campus in Joplin, MO.


A SPECIAL PREACHING FESTIVAL

These festivals are held every November. They begin Friday evening at 7:00, continuing on Saturday from 9:00 through 5:00 PM, and concluding Lord's day evening. A special theme is developed by several speakers.

The 2007 Preaching Festival will be held in the Blakely home 11/2-3/2007.


5TH SUNDAY NIGHT SING

Every 5th Sunday evening we have a congregational sing, with brethren selecting favorite hymns. This precedes our regular evening service, lasting from 6:00 - 6:30 PM.


AGAPE DINNER

The fourth Lord's Day of every month we have a special Agape Dinner following the AM service. Everyone participates by bringing one or more dishes. A good time of fellowship is had by all, as we eat our food "with gladness and singleness of heart."
