Greetings From Our New Rector

Dear friends in Christ,

I am delighted to have been called as the rector of St. Paul's Church, and look forward to coming to know each of you as we worship and serve together. You will hear more from me in a couple of months when we've made our move to Corinth, but I am glad to have the chance to greet you briefly now and to say how much we look forward to being with you.

My husband Andrew and I have been living in New York City, where he has been hard at work recording an album (folksy rock) and doing a bit of woodworking, and I've been serving at St. James' Church.  "New Yorkers?!" you say...and it's true we've been city mice for a while.  But we both grew up in Louisiana and spent 3 years in Sewanee, TN, when I was in seminary, and so are pleased to be making our new home in the small-town South.  Andrew enjoys playing music and soccer, camping, cooking, gardening, fishing, reading, animals, and doing anything outdoors.  I enjoy reading (and thinking about writing), my big/funny family, arts and crafts, people, being outside/active, a little cooking, practicing prayer, and learning new things.  We trust Corinth will be a wonderful place for us.

We'll be moving to Corinth in July, and will be visiting family, unpacking, and settling in before I begin my time at St. Paul's on August 1.  We are so grateful for your wardens and search committee, who have shown us great care and thoughtfulness throughout this call process.  I have been touched to see some of the ways you all have cared for one another and served out your mission during your search for a priest, and know that I am privileged to be coming among you as one who serves.

God has wonderful things in store for us, together.  Pray for us; we are praying for you.

Faithfully yours in Christ,
Ann

The Rev. Ann Benton Fraser
