The angel Michael is one of God's chief angels. He is the angel that threw Lucifer(Satan) from heaven when he rebelled against God. Since that time, Michael has fought many battles and won all of them against Satan. He is the Archangel that was assigned to preside over Israel, and he protected the body of Moses from Satan. He is the patron saint for soldiers. He gave the world warning against the evil and snares of Satan. Many Catholics pray for his intercession for family and friends whom are fighting addictions.

A Prayer to St. Michael

St. Michael, the archangel, be our protector and intercessor, defend us in battle against Satan and all evil spirits who roam the earth seeking the ruin of souls. Watch over us during life and protect us from the assaults of the devil now and at the hour of our death in Jesus name we pray.  Amen
