*The African Methodist Episcopal Church is honoring a member who is scheduled to blast into space July 1 aboard space shuttle Discovery. Stephanie Wilson, 39, of Clear Lake , Texas , is one of seven astronauts who will take the trip and the second black woman to go following Mae Jemison’s mission in 1992. Last Sunday (June 10), Wilson was surrounded by a circle of prayer warriors led by the pastor of Reedy Chapel AME Church , where Wilson has worshipped since 2000.
