I Peter 4:7                “ We are in the last watch of the night”

3:00 AM – 6:00 AM

The last watch is the Darkest Time (For sight)

We are in a dark time! Seen in the murder, the morals, and manners of man today.

Also seen in our lack of spiritual sight today.

John 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Sad thing is men choose not to see. The truth is rejected, when Jesus is rejected.

We have a falling away today in the Church

We lack attendance to worship- We lack attention to the word!

II Corinthians 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

Satan tries to hide the truth of God’s word, but the glorious gospel light is still shinning! When the light is present the darkness flees.

Ephesians 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

The last watch is a Dangerous Time (For sleep)

We live in a day of locked doors, and locked hearts! In the darkness of night the enemy will attack (Satan will always use the cover of darkness)

II Timothy 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

Do we not live in a dangerous time?

Earthquakes, Pestilences (Bird Flue), Wars, Crime. More than that-

We no longer Hear, Heed, and Honor the Word of GOD!

(In this watch many are surrounded by death, deception, and doubt)

Matthew 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

We can not sleep spiritually when we are so close to that wonderful golden day break…..Jesus is coming soon!

The last watch is a Desperate Time (For the sinner)

In the last watch men would huddle near the fire for light. You cannot see in the darkness. Darkness has engulfed many, because they stray from the light.

John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

Proverbs 4:19 The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.

Sinners stumble around because they cannot see. They have no light in their life.

Desperate for those who are not ready “Ye must be born again”

Matthew 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

Time is running out!

The last watch is a Delightful Time (For the saint)

When the sun is about to rise a new day dawns, and the night ends. His return is near, His reward is with him.

Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly: and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
