Galatians 3:6-9                           "The way of faith"

Look at how Abraham by faith followed the Lord

* He took a step of faith VERSE 6
He left UR behind him, some need to leave some things behind.


Today we should take a step of faith. It is not a leap in the dark, because we walk in the light!

* Left his old country I'm leaving this world! Genesis 12:1

* Left his old crowd
The old people..... God still works that way today.
II Corinthians 6:17
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
* Left the old confusion
Idol worship was all around him in Ur. The Lord had a better place for him. Thank the Lord he has a promised place for us. (John 14:1-6)


* He trusted by simple faith

Psalm 118:8
It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

* Faith compelled him

And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
* Faith carried him It can carry us!
He knew he was heading toward a blessing!
God always honors faith, and faithfulness.
Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace are ye saved through faith: and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Not of works lest any man should boast.

Abram (High father) became Abraham (Father of a multitude "Nations")
I have a new name in glory.

We see Abraham was a man of faith. It all started by that first step. You to can walk with God... It takes faith!
