* Untempered mortar lacks strength Vrs 10

* It's weak

So many lack spiritual strength because they are being held together by the wrong mortar. Our strength is in Jesus.

Ephesians 6:10  Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.  

* It's worthless

Trusting in the wrong things today! people have their confidence shaken because they are not trusting in Christ!

Psalms 118:8  It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.  

 Galatians 6:3  For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself

Many have built their spiritual wall the sloppy way, and the sorry way...Do it the right way (Do it right the first time and it will be set up right!

* Untempered mortar lacks stability Vrs 12-13

* It crumbles

The church splits over the silliest issues.....Never over the important ones (VIRTUES) (VALUES) They are not set in Christ.

I Corinthians 10:12  Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.  

* It cracks

People fly apart over all the little cracks in life's walkway. The storm of anger cracks manys resolve! The wind of pride may blow down some walls.

We must be set in the right way!

Proverbs 14:12  There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

* Set in feeble works

Build a wall with the best brick, and if the mortar isn't right the work is all for nothing. Many have built up works in Religion, and Rituals and they will come down all around them!

BAPTISM IS UNTEMPERED MORTAR APART FROM THE SAVING GRACE OF GOD!  So are SACREMENTS!

Ephesians 2:8  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 

Ephesians 2:9  Not of works, lest any man should boast.

* set in formal worship

What is your salvation based upon, is it set in Christ? If not it is set with untempered mortar.
