Ministry For The Hospitalized:

Due to the several long term stays and surgeries at Innovis Health and Merit-Care's Intensive Care Unit of one of our members, the members of Prairie View Church developed a love for the people in these hospitals. The ministry began as that same member who was hospitalized for many months began to create cards to be delivered to patients who could use a word of encouragement. Since then, the ministry has grown to add giving patients Easter baskets, caroling in the halls around Christmas time, and giving patients blankets and bookmarks.

Puppet Ministry:

Shortly after adopting our puppets from a church which no longer found use of them we began a new ministry geared towards younger children. We began the ministry on Wednesday nights with the some of the older classes where these children would learn how to perform the puppets and when they had prepared a "show" would share it with the congregation on a Wednesday night or Sunday morning. Since this simple beginning, we have been given several opportunities to use the puppets to share the good news with countless people through events hosted by the Fargo Park District such as Midwest KidsFest and Share-A-Story. We have also had the joy of continuously adapting the different puppet shows to incorporate the children in hopes that they will clearly see the love of Christ. It is just another way that we are able to see God work greatly even with simplistic tools in our hands.

Ministry For The Deaf:

Prairie View Church members have had a unique opportunity to learn sign language as a part of our Wednesday night program. Historically we have taken a song and learned some of the major signs that would be signed for it. This was inspired by our Director of Christian Education who was deaf for part of her life. She had to learn sign language in order to communicate. It is a unique capability for a church body to have a member who is able to communicate Christ's love to a people group who would otherwise have difficulties worshipping on a Sunday morning.
