The pictures on the side of this page and below are from the our Vacation Bible School held with our neighbors at St. Paul United Methodist Church on July 24th through the 28th.

This coming Sunday is April 29th, the Fourth Sunday of Easter.  This Sunday is also know as Good Shepherd Sunday.  The lectionary texts for this Sunday are Acts 4:5-12; Psalm 23; 1 John 3:16-24; and John 10:11-18.  (Click on the link below to read these texts.)

This coming Sunday our worship service is at 10:15 am.  Rev. Niles will be preaching from the Gospel Lectionary text in the morning's sermon "".    

Our purpose as a congregation begins as we gather in worship.  We come together to hear God’s Word read and proclaimed. We gather to praise God for his grace shown to us in Jesus Christ and to be strengthened by the Holy Spirit who directs us in our ministry and mission in this community and in the world.  Worship services from September through May are held Sunday mornings at 10:15 and during the summer months we worship at 9:30 am. September through May Church School classes for all ages are held at 9:00 prior to worship. From our worship grows our dedication to Christian education, Christian fellowship and service to others.  We have been called by God to take this Christian heritage that we have received and share it with our young, with one another, and with all those whom we cross paths.

All of our church school classes for our children's ministries meet in the basement of the education wing of the church and this year we are utilizing a one classroom curriclum for our preschoolers through the sixth grade.  This class is taught by Debbie Leirman, Carol Luber, Bill Quinn and Kate Trautwein. An Adult class also meets during the Sunday morning church school hour and is taught by Dick Leitschuck. 

Both the Choir and the Bell Choir meet on Wednesday nights to prepare for the music ministry of our church.  Bell Choir rehearsal begins at 5:30 pm and is followed by the Choir rehearsal at 6:15 pm.  Both groups rehearse in the music rooms located in the upper floor of the education wing. 

The other groups of First Presbyterian Church that meet regularly are the Session that meets every second Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm, the Board of Deacons that meets the 4th Tuesday of every month at 5:30 pm, and the Rebecca Circle that meets monthly on the 3rd Wednesday at two o'clock in the afternoon.  All of these groups meet in the Church Lounge.
