Open Membership, Respect for the Wider Christian Church Comes in Spiritual Journey to Be Joy to the World

Persons from any or no denominational background are invited to become a member by profession of faith in Christ.  Disciples usually baptize first time converts as new members by immersion as we believe was practiced in the New Testament.

We pray to be delivered from legalism. We know we are a very small part of the Kingdom of God. During our spiritual journey, we have tried to discern with humility and without self-absorbed conflict, the will of God in the work and ministry of our congregation.

If baptized in any other Christian denomination, we accept that baptism for part of the requirements for membership. We respect other Christian traditions and life-long individual beliefs as we practice the priesthood of every believer, and the autonomy of our local church to receive whom we will as new members of our congregation.

Your profession of faith in Christ is the most important step in becoming a member of any Christian fellowship.  Baptism is the outward sign of an inward experience.  The joyous experience of being a child of God in Christ is the most important thing.
