"SUBMITTING TO GOD'S WILL"
I recently had the pleasure of becoming an instrument for God to preach a sermon on a message that He gave me. At first when I felt the Holy Spirit moving me to intensely study the Bible on this subject for two weeks I just figured this was going to be another ordinary message so I planned to in my time that I thought would be convienent for me to give this message I would do it. But little did I know the real reason God had worked so intensely in me was because He was preparing me for a special task that I have never before done and this was to preach a sermon that would last an hour and a half. On a day that I had just returned for the hospital after a major surgery I certainly had no intentions of attending the chaurch service today let alone preach a sermon. But when I returned to my block the man who normally preached was being taken out for a medical problem of his own and we briefly passed each other and as we did he spoke to me asking me to take over today's service I was in no shape to attend any services but this was the real reason God had been preparing me for was for this very day. So I prayed to God if it be His will that he would give me the strength to be able to go through with this service I was in alot of physical pain from surgery. The freshly part of me did not want to go through with this but how could I take the chance and not fulfill God's plan for me especially if this was the very thing the Holy Spirit had been working in me for. I thank God he gave me the strength to fill in for my brother who wasn't able to do today's service. It was all to God's glory that we also had a large group of people on this day. This is one task I will never forget what an amazing feeling knowing I was able to fulfill God's will simply becausde I chose to submit myself to him even in my weakest moments. The glory we are able to bring God when we're not thinking about ourselves first. Amen!
