They came...they saw...they even brought gifts. What wise men!
As I write this, we have just celebrated Epiphany; the day the wise men arrived and welcomed the new King, Jesus Christ. We had a great month of learning about the Christmas story and what this season is really about...and what it's not so much about. Good news indeed!
Now, as we move into 2013, we continue our trek through the Bible. The rest of the year will be spent looking at the major and minor prophets, who they are and what they said. And guess what! A lot of what they said tells about the Messiah that would come to save us. Hmmmmm....sounds like something we just learned about. Interesting how this great Book foretells the coming of Jesus, tells about His arrival, His life here on earth, and what we can expect next. It's so worth reading.
You don't want your child to miss out on the fun we are going to have uncovering these stories of God's chosen messengers.
Sneak Peak: Join us on Palm Sunday where we will learn about "The Case of the Missing Savior". Come and find out what happened!
My Regular REMINDER: If you are 12 or older (grown ups…that includes you too) and looking for a way to get involved while reinforcing or growing your knowledge of the Bible, we could REALLY use your helping hands in the children’s program. You could read a story to the group, run an experiment, help with the crafts and games, or just be an extra set of hands to offer guidance. Please contact Tanya Fox to see how you can get involved. Thank you!
