This
year we have the opportunity to connect with the leadership of our
Diocese in very personal way. This comes with the Bishop's
visitation. We are blessed and honored to have Bishop Mark
Beckwith visiting with us this Sunday, June 17th (Father's
Day), beginning at 10 AM with a service of Holy Eucharist.
It's
been 4 years since a Bishop has visited our congregation, so let's
make the most of it. I can assure you that Bishop Beckwith has
a wonderful and pastoral presence. He has decades of experience
as a parish priest and will be very helpful to us as we share the
joys and challenges of our congregational life.
After
the service, we will be treated to a lovely brunch in the dining
Hall. Some time during the brunch, Bishop Beckwith will bring
us news from the Diocese and then entertain any questions you may
have. After brunch, he will meet with the leadership of the
parish and before his leaves.
It
should be a wonderful day. We have much to celebrate here at St
Barnabas as a faith community and exciting things to share with our
Bishop. I hope that you will make the time to be a part of this
day. Children are encouraged to attend!
See
you on Sunday June 17th at 10 AM!
