To extend service to others beyond the walls of our immediate Parish, St. Michael's Church works with external organizations in supportive and collaborative roles, and through volunteerism of our parishioners, to assist in addressing the diverse needs of our larger community.  (Click on any of the groups below for more information on that organization.)

ANGEL TREE


Each Christmas, St. Michael's Church participates in the Angel Tree program, a prison ministry that focuses on providing holiday gifts to children of incarcerated parents, to promote domestic spiritial unity, until all family members can be reunited.  Click here to find out more about the Angel Tree organization.



CRISIS MINISTRY


The Crisis Ministry of Princeton and Trenton is committed to health and dignity to all while working to prevent hunger and homelessness in the local community.  St. Michael's Church works to support these efforts by collecting non-perishable food items for donation to the ministry's food pantry.  Click here for more information about the Crisis Ministry.



FARMERS AGAINST HUNGER


Farmers Against Hunger is a unique food rescue program that collects fresh fruits and vegetables from New Jersey farms, and distributes it, free of charge, to organizations that help feed people.  St. Michael's Church partners with Murphy's Chapel, which meets at St. Michael's Church, to facilitate placement of these donations into the hands of those members of our local community who are in need of these services.  Click here for more information concerning Farmers Against Hunger.



MURPHY'S CHAPEL


Murphy's Chapel is an evangelical ministry serving the special spiritual needs of homeless and street residents in our local community, through the celebration of the gospel of our Lord.  Murphy's Chapel provides this service through the periodic use of St. Michael's Church facilities as its local base for ministering to its parishioners.



NEW GARMENTS ALWAYS


St. Michael's Church partners with New Garments Always (NGA) to collect gifts of new clothing for distribution to improve the quality of life for economically disadvantaged individuals in the local community.  Click here for more information about NGA.



RESCUE MISSION of TRENTON


The Rescue Mission of Trenton is the local agency that serves the truly needy men and women in the community who have no place to turn for shelter, food, and clothing.  Parishioners at St. Michael's church serve the Rescue Mission in various roles to help this organization meet its goals.  Click here to find out more about the Rescue Mission of Trenton.



TRENTON AREA SOUP KICHEN – TASK


St. Michael's Church members assist TASK in it's efforts to dish-up more than 3,000 free meals per week to help patrons achieve healthier lifestyles, increased self-esteem, and self-sufficiency; and through their facility, provide a wide array of social, community and health services.  Click here for more information of the TASK organization. 



PARISH FACILITIES


Various parish rooms and buildings are available for rental by community groups and others, such as youth clubs, 12-step ministries, charitable organizations, civic associations, and amateur and professional theatrical and musical companies; for activities including meetings, presentations, dinners, dances, rehearsals, performances, and concerts.
