The Rev Frank K. Wilson The Rev. Frank K. Wilson is Rector of St. John's. Fr. Frank became Interim Rector in late 2005 and was called as Rector about a year later. Fr. Frank is a graduate of the Rio Grande School for Ministry and was ordained priest in March of 2005. Even though Fr. Frank is new to ordained ministry, he is not new to the ministry of service. Fr. Frank came to New Mexico at Holloman AFB upon graduation from college (Kenyon College, 1969). When he completed his tour with USAF, he entered the University of New Mexico School of Law and graduated in 1976. He practiced law in Alamogordo as a prosecutor, City Attorney, and private practice lawyer until he was elected District Judge in 1994. Although Fr. Frank remains employed full time as Judge, he serves St. John's part time, and will continue to do so until his retirement from the bench at the end of 2008, when he may become full-time if need be. Baptized in the Episcopal Church as an infant, Fr. Frank began living into his baptismal covenant here at St. John's in 1980. Fr. Frank and his wife Carolyn (who have two adult children each) live just north of Alamogordo. Fr. Frank preaches that Jesus Christ was crucified and resurrected, as revealed in Holy Scripture. You can expect to use the Bible when you come to worship at St. John's. Holy Scripture is at the center of the preaching and teaching. |
