A basic course in which the student is introduced to methods for studying the Bible as the Word of God. Discusses the formulation of the Canon, the Holy Tradition of the Church concerning the scriptures, as well as methods of study. Introduces mayor concepts.

Using a text written for the American convert, explore the fascinating world of eastern Christianity. Compare western religious ideas with their eastern counter-parts.

SURVEY OF ORTHODOX THEOLOGY

2 CREDIT HOURS

A thematic, interpretive study on the five major aspects of Orthodox theology: Creation, Antropology-Mariology, Christology-Soteriology, Pneumatology, Ecclesiology-Hagiology-Asceticism and Eschatology. Also, become familiar with the writings of the Fathers.
