God’s Perfect Timing

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.  And God said, “Build my church in Fernley, Nevada, and call it St. Robert Bellarmine,” and there was a church and it out grew its walls.  And then God said, “It is time for my wandering Lutheran family to find a home.”  And so it was.  God’s house: Our new home.

Some of the previous quotes aren’t exactly God’s words, but for this newsletter credit has to be given where credit is due.  God’s perfect timing.  There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven.  Ecc 3:1 The Gift of Grace Lutheran Fellowship has been truly blessed with a new home and the opportunity to spread God’s love and message throughout this community and surrounding areas.  The building on the corner of West St. and Cedar St. in Fernley, has taken on a whole new beauty and peace.  Many members of Gift of Grace have embraced the responsibility and taken a heartfelt ownership in caring for this church and property.  Even though we’ve only been in our new home two months, the energy and excitement continues to move us closer to God’s will for His church and where the Gift of Grace Lutheran Church fits into His perfect timing.  Let’s give thanks and praise in Jesus’ name for this “surprise gift.”  Amen.

Faith Formation across Generations Conference

On October 8th, I had a chance to go to this great conference and learn how we can incorporate the young and old together and what we can learn from each generation given the chance.  The speaker was a wonderful and dynamic person who had everyone engaged with what she was talking about.  If you would like to see some of her writings or visit her web site at: MarilynSharpeMinistries@comcast.net.  I also have an outline from the conference if you would like to see what she talked about (located on the door of the church) or you can come and talk to me.  Marcie Vallejo
