"Walking In The Light" - John 8:12

Greetings In JESUS' Mighty Name!

My Dear Friend,

Perhaps you or a loved-one, or a friend are suffering or hurting from an addiction to alcohol or drugs,or both, which you cannot understand or control.

I can relate to that feeling of suffering and hopelessness. For many years approximately from the time I was 15 years old til I was 45 years old, I suffered daily from the bondage of alcohol and drugs.

I forsaked all, my Marriages,Family, Relationships, Careers, Businesses, etc., just to stay high.

I went to whatever length was necessary to stay high.

I was a Thief, Persuader, Liar, Manipulator, I was Arrogant, Conceited, Selfish,Ungrateful, Impatient, Pushy, Self-Centered, whatever I needed to be at the time to get my next drink or drug.

I had no regard for anyone or anything around me. In the end, I lost everything, including my relationship with my only Son, and failed at (3) marriages.

Everything that should have meant anything to a "Normal" person, meant nothing to me.

Yes, I suffered from my addictions for too many years. I always thought I was in complete control.

Eventually, I grew tired of my lifestyle, I was in fact, (Sick & Tired) of it.

My life had become totally unmanageable, and I had become totally powerless over it.

It wasn't until I hit rock bottom, it wasn't until I contemplated (Suicide),no hope left in living, that I sought help for my addictions.

I remember getting on my knees, why I don't know, I was an (Agnostic) at the time. I figured I had nothing to lose.

I said "If there is a God, and you are listening then please help me, if you don't I'm going to kill myself. I can't take anymore, I hate my life and what I've become."

Then I PASSED OUT!

I believe God, answered me that night, for the next morning at 11 o'clock I attended my first AA (Alcoholic's Anonymous) meeting. God, had sent me to AA. And through a "Spiritual Awakening", AA, had sent me back to God.

That meeting was the beginning of a new life for me. I had what was called a (Spiritual Awakening). From there, it grew into a relationship with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, my "Higher Power."

I was never (Cured) of my addictions, for as of yet medical science hasn't found such a cure.

But eventually through lots of hard work and help from others, I Recovered from my addictions, and went on to be (Healed) through the stripes of Jesus!

God, worked for me, and now I work for God!

Jesus' Will For Us Is Divine Health!

If you're looking for answers, help, comfort or healing won't you please look unto Jesus Christ. He can and will remove any yoke of bondage and heal any addiction you have, if only you'll let Him, if only you'll ask Him.

Let us believe the word of God for our healing even if the whole world thinks otherwise. For as the scriptures say: "God must be proved true even though every man be proved a liar." (Romans 3:4)

Let us believe that our salvation AND healing is already provided in the cross of Jesus Christ.

It is God’s desire that all of His children be restored and made whole, and live their lives to their fullest potential in Him.

At Chapel of Light Ministries, Inc., this is our goal…to help you on your path to experiencing the awesome healing power of Christ in your life.

Be healed in the name of Jesus Christ!

Walking In The Light,

(Read John 8:12)

(Read 1 John 1:5-7)

The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, because He hath anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD." Luke 4:18-19 NKJV

But [it is] good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works. (Psalms 73:28, KJV)

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" 2 Corinthians 5:17

What Is A Chaplain?

Webster's defines a Chaplain as; a person chosen to conduct religious exercises, a clergyman in charge of a Chapel, a person who says the prayer, invocation, etc., for an organization or at an assembly. A Chaplain is a volunteer-man or woman, lay or clergy-called by GOD, graced with gifts particulary suited to ministry in small town and country settings for rural church and community ministries. Rural Chaplains continue in their regular job or profession; they receive no compensaion for their chaplaincy. This type of ministry is often called a "Passion" ministry.

Duties of A Chaplain

The office of Chaplain is a diversified position of helps. The Chaplain is a spiritual leader that specializes in workplace or on site, short term intervention ministry within the community. Chaplaincy covers a wide variety of ministerial services from Hospital visits, Prison or Jail visits, or Home visits according to agency policy. Their are different types of Chaplains; Police Chaplains, Hospital Chaplains, Fire Chaplains, Rural Chaplains, Urban Chaplains, Military Chaplains, even the U.S. Senate has a Chaplain. Chaplains respond to the need for emotional and spiritual guidance and assistance in time of a personal or collective crisis.

How Can A Chaplain Help Me?

There has never been a greater need for Chaplains in the workplace, community or institutions. Whether you are a patient, a family member, or a friend, you may be lonely, worried, or confused. Many people find that speaking to a Chaplain provides some of the emotional and spiritual support they need.

GRACE TO YOU AND PEACE FROM GOD OUR FATHER AND THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.

Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort. Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

The way of a fool is right in his own eyes; but he who hearkeneth unto counsel is wise. Proverbs 12:15 Gal 5:19-21, "Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God."

Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety. Proverbs 11:14 (KJV)

We believe that those who are following Jesus Christ do not walk in darkness. Conversely, if a man is walking in darkness he is not following in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.

"Prayer in Time of Trouble"

Lord, in every need let me come to You with humble trust saying, "Jesus, help me." In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations, Jesus, help me. In hours of loneliness, weariness, and trials, Jesus, help me. In the failure of my plans and hopes; in disappointments, troubles, and sorrows, Jesus, help me. When others fail me and Your grace alone can assist me, Jesus, help me. When I throw myself on Your tender love as a father and savior, Jesus, help me. When my heart is cast down by failure at seeing no good come from my efforts, Jesus, help me. When I feel impatient and my cross irritates me, Jesus, help me. When I am ill and my head and hands cannot work and I am lonely, Jesus, help me. Always, always, in spite of weakness, falls, and shortcomings of every kind, Jesus, help me and never forsake me.

IN JESUS' MIGHTY NAME!

Amen.
