Sunday Worship at 10:30 a.m

A "fusion" liturgy combining ancient rituals, traditional and non-traditional hymns, music from all sources, Gospel preaching with applications to everyday life, terrific choir, great community and a whole lot of fun AND GUILT FREE!

We use Eugene Peterson's "The Message" translation of Scripture and Eucharistic prayers from various sources utilizing new imagery of the holy in our lives. None of the guilt and twice the fun!

Anointing during the Sunday Service the first Sunday of every month.

Upcoming Events:

July

Sunday, July 5 at 10:30 a.m.  Celebration of the Independence of our Nation.

Saturday, July 11 at 6:00 p.m.  JUAREZ, Bette Davis, Brian Ahern, Paul Muni, Gilbert Roland and GALE SONDERGAARD. (Our favorite!)  A true story of the empire of Mexico, a gentle Emperor Maximillian and the mad Empress Carlotta.

AUGUST

Dinner and  Movie: Saturday, August 15 at 6:00 p.m.  The Academy award winning 'TITANIC" .. No, not that one.  This one was made in 1953 starring Barbara Stanwyck, Clifton Webb, Robert Wagner but NOT Gale Sondergaard.  The horrible tragedy of the sinking of the great liner on her maiden voyage is interwove with a very plausible dramatic story.

Who knew church could be so much fun?  Come and see !

Our Mission:

WORSHIPING, WELCOMING, SHARING WITH GOD'S HEALING LOVE IN THE HEART OF BUFFALO.

If you want to have a relationship that is meaningful, loving, and beneficial then come on home. We are waiting for you with open arms.  Ascension Church, a place where something wonderful happens!
