Spiritus Gladius

If you are a visitor to St. Paul’s today, Welcome! Please say “Hello” to Fr. John Paul after the service. Let him know if you would like to be contacted later this week.

Choir rehearsals for Community Thanksgiving Service are now set for Wednesday, November 18, at St. Paul’s at 7 PM and for Sunday, November 22, at St. Paul’s at 1:00 PM. The service that day is at 2:00 PM.

Community Thanksgiving Service will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 22, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Stafford. Participating are the Stafford United Methodist Church, Morganville United Church of Christ, South Byron United Methodist Church and Byron Presbyterian Church.

Gorceries  please bring one or more non-perishable grocery items for the offering when you come to the Community Thanksgiving Service next Sunday at 2 PM.

Christmas wreaths/swags  please start thinking about what you want to order. See Sue Briggs for an order form so you can sign up others to purchase them. They will be delivered on Sunday, November 29th.

Do you need to monitor your blood pressure? This parish nurse ministry by Irma Altman is every third Sunday of the month. The next Sunday for blood pressure is November 15th.

Lectors – Please consider signing up ahead of time for the two remaining Sundays in November. Readings for November are in the red notebook at the parish hall.

Keep up on parish events if you miss being at Sunday worship by logging on to the parish web site, www.forministry.com/usnyecusaspecs , where you can find not only the current parish Bulletin Board but also the Worship Bulletin as well.

To add/delete names to prayer list, contact either Mary Waterman (768-2363) or Shelly Waterman (548-7646). If you know any of the folks on the armed forces list please let Mary or Shelly know if they are no longer on active duty.

Vestry members  Please remember to mark your calendar for our next meeting on December 6th.

The Lessons & Carols service for the Genesee deanery will be held at St. James’ church in Batavia on Sunday, November 29, at 4 PM.

St. Paul’s Calling Tree has been revised. It is on the table at the rear of the church. If we need to contact those who are in regular attendance this is the sequence of calls that will be made (for example, special needs in the church family, church service cancelled due to winter weather). Every effort has been made to make it error free. However, if you spot an error please tell Sam Leadley so the correction may be made promptly.

Grocery gift cards are for sale by the ECW.  For each dollar purchased, the ECW receives 5 percent toward their annual budget.  Ask Susan Briggs for one or more cards in $20 and $50 amounts.  When you buy groceries, these gift cards are the same as cash at TOPS, & Pharmacy – just slide them through the credit card reader for credit toward your purchases.  Any balance remaining on the card carries ahead to your next purchase. Also receive credit toward gasoline purchases.

Copies of the current prayer list are on the table at the rear of the church if you wish to pray for individuals on this list.

The Sunday School thanks you for participating in their Can & Bottle collection. They have a container for clean redeemable cans and bottles in the Parish Hall near the door when you enter.
