How to Join St. Paul's

Receiving New Members

St. Paul's welcomes all those who want to follow Jesus. Become a member of St. Paul's in one of the following ways:

· If you have been baptized and are an active member of another local church are welcomed by letter of transfer.

· If you have been baptized but do not have a church to transfer from, you are welcomed through your affirmation of faith.

· If you have never been baptized you are welcomed through the waters of baptism following a time of preparation.

Please speak to the pastor if you are interested in joining St. Paul’s. Orientation for new member candidates may be done in a group or individually with the pastor or a deacon. Orientation includes:

· An introduction to the Lutheran ways of practicing the Christian faith.

· An introduction to the mission and ministries of St. Paul’s.

· Guidance to consider your commitment to the church, and your growth in faith.

· Guidance to examine your spiritual gifts and how you might offer them to serve among God’s people.
