The Prayer Shawl Ministry began by a few members of St. Paul's who made shawls on their own. When it became evident that more shawls were needed, regular meeting were held. Since it's beginning, the Prayer Shawl Ministry has given almost 400 shawls to people who are sick, mourning a death, and celebrating special occasions.
White shawls are made for each Confirmand with their favorite color added as a border. Couples being married at St. Paul's are wrapped together in a white shawl that has a cross woven in the center. Babies receive a white blanket with a cross woven in it at the time of their baptism. Children and adults receive a white shawl.
