Our Constitution

In 2010 the Constitution Committee completed its assigned task of revising and updating our Constitution. In June the final draft was presented to the Church Council. In August the Council voted to recommend the new constitution to the congregation, and scheduled a special congregation meeting. At the same time the constitution was submitted to Synod for approval.

Before our special congregation meeting on October 3, 2010 the constitution was approved by Synod.  At that meeting the congregation voted to approve the new constitution and it became effective.

At our regular congregation meeting on December 19, 2010, the constitution was again put to a congregation vote, and it was ratified.

From here on, our new constitution will stand the test of providing guidance, consistency, and fairness within the structure and ministries of St. Paul’s. Most importantly, the new constitution encourages member involvement and representation from all families.

Thanks and appreciation go to everyone who contributed to this project: Ruth L., Christine C., Sara G., Mark R., Sharon C-H, Dorothy M., Kathie M., Pr. Dan, Larry W., the Church Council and the congregation of St. Paul’s.

In 2011 the Evangelism & Outreach Committee developed an Electronics Usage Policy that addressed the need to have guidelines for St. Paul's use and management of communicating via emails, website, social networks, and any other electronic channels. This Policy was adopted by the Church Council on April 13, 2011, published to the congregation as a Continuing Resolution, and added as an attachment to our Constitution.
