Saint Paul ’s Lutheran Church, a loving caring congregation of God’s people.

Steve grew up in Western New York.  He was involved in local athletics, youth work, directed the Lutheran Youth Organization and coached boys and girls high school sports.

After studying psychology, sociology, and education, Steve earned his bachelors degree at the University at Buffalo.  He then completed his master’s degree in theology and pastoral counseling at the Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary of the ELCA.

For the past 15 years, Steve served as pastor, developer and counselor at two Lutheran churches in Glens Falls and Clarence Center.  Recently, Steve developed the Adventures in Teamwork program, still in use at Clarence Center Elementary, designed to build developmental assets in adolescents. 

He has developed and facilitated numerous programs for teens and youth at summer camps.  He speaks at conferences across the Eastern U.S. about engaging youth and young adults to help empower them to make choices that have positive affects on their lives.

One of Steve's greatest joys throughout his career has been engaging in countless conversations with young people to help them discern how to make constructive choices and create a better future for themselves.
