Meet Pastor Dan

Welcome to Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church, a loving caring congregation of God’s people that I am called and privileged to serve as their pastor.

I was raised in the Lutheran church in Syracuse, New York, educated as a Social Worker at Buffalo State College and then completed my education for the ministry at the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. I later earned a Doctor of Ministry degree at the Graduate Theological Foundation in South Bend, Indiana. During my 28 years of ministry, I have served congregations in Olean, New York, Portville, New York, and Geneva, New York before coming to Saint Pauls in 2006.

My wife, Debra, and I have been married for 30 years. We have two daughters, Hannah and Leah who is married and the mother of our newborn granddaughter, Hadley.  Hannah  is in graduate school at the University of Albany. Deb works as a diabetes educator at Mount Saint Mary’s Hospital. In addition to my duties as pastor, I am an avid boater, woodworker and stained glass artist.
