St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church
Enrich faith, Nourish lives, and Demonstrate Love in God's Name

Mr. John Mika

Christian Education Director

It is wonderful to be a part of what God is doing here at St. Paul’s.  Your children are a blessing that increases weekly.  When we are together we share a truth from the Bible while reinforcing this thought “When we pray we talk to God and when we read our Bible God talks to us.”  It is a quote that is repeated often during Kids Worship. I pray during our short time together that each child is touched by the love of God and encouraged to know Him more and more.

10:00AM every Sunday

Operation Christmas Child

The children of the Sunday School classes are sponsoring the drive to fill 100 shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child, a ministry of Samaritan's Purse.

After the video presentation in church all of the congregation was asked to take a box or two and fill it with toys, school supplies, hygiene items, candy and a personal note.

A 7$ donation for each box is requested to help defray the cost of mailing.

Please return you filled boxes by November 22nd!

We have just completed "Under Construction” a Habitat for Humanity Vacation Bible School which took place June 29 -July 3 at St. Paul’s.  God really blessed as attendance actually went up as the week progressed.  On Friday we had lunch for about 150 children and adults following the closing and gift presentation to Habitat.

Margaret Talboys from Habitat Buffalo was with us to receive the quilt, birdhouses, decorated pots with flowers and the painted molding for Habitat homes all made by the children with their own hands.  We also were able to "Cover the house for Habitat" and present an offering to Habitat Buffalo in excess of $400.00

Thank you to the following sponsors who made the week more memorable for the children.  Dash's Markets, Home Depot, Lowe's, Sherwin William's Paints, Top's Markets, United Rental, Quality Markets, Valu Home Center's and Ziggy's Taco and Subs.

A special thank you to Thomas Hooper and ArtYard Studios for the incredible pottery spinning demonstration he presented to the children.

Thank you to all the volunteer's for their willing hearts.  You were a blessing indeed!

Thank you to the children who attended, we are still praying for you to see that God has created you to love Him and serve others for His glory.  You were a blessing all week long.

Finally thanks be to God who through his marvelous grace allows each of us to be a part of such special moments in time.

God bless you

Mr. John
