My wife, Sharon, and I started our deputation to come to Mexico in September 1967 and arrived in Mexico the first weekend of January 1972. After 16 years of laboring in the central part of Mexico in evangelism and starting Independent Baptist Churches, in June 1988 after Reverend Bill Harvey, missionary of the Baptist Bible Fellowship had invited us, and after much prayer seeking the Lord’s will, we moved to Cuidad Mante, Tamaulipas to begin working as Sub-Director in the Baptist Bible Institute. Since that time we have been involved in teaching and administering in the school, training young preachers and workers for the ministry. During this period we have seen over 200 full time servants of our Lord graduate and go out into His vineyard in full time service to serve Him preaching and teaching the Gospel. Of the over 200 Independent Baptist Churches and Missions affiliated with the Baptist Bible Fellowship International in Mexico, approximately 90% of them are pastored by graduates from the Baptist Bible Institute of Cuidad Mante. In 41 years since being founded more than 491 workers have graduated from the College. My wife, Sharon, and I both teach a combined total of 16 or more hours per week at the Bible College, which includes: Profecy, Practice Preaching, Choir, Music Theory, Pedagogy, Child Study, Doctrine, General Epistles, among others.
Besides the College, we are also involved in evangelism, youth camps, VBS, and the starting of new Churches here in Mexico, the most recent of which was started in Cd. Valles, an hour south of us. This work now has their pasto, a graduate of the Bible College of last year and is averaging over 40 in Sunday School.
