Ministry:
Dan and Deanna’s ministry was characterized by assisting Native Indian leadership in developing strong disciples, leaders, and churches in winnipeg and points beyond. Dan came alongside a struggling Native church and assisted their leadership in making it completely indigenous(self-governing, self-supporting, self-propagating). He assisted a group of Native leaders in developing a three year Bible study, applying Biblical truths to Native life and times. He co-ordinated an annual symposium (1995-99) on Native church planting with over 100 missionaries and Native pastors attending.

Present ministry: Dan and Deanna have moved to Calgary, Alberta (Summer, 2000) to continue their church-planting ministry in an expanded role. They are working with about 25 Native Churches in western Canada and Alaska to develop stronger Native leadership and complete the church-planting process. Most of these churches struggle to survive and are very dependent on the work of the missionaries. God has uniquely situated the Woodards on the Native church scene to assist several fundamental mission agencies to strengthen their church-planting methods to make stronger disciples and leaders in their native
