East Bethany Presbyterian Church

Mission Statement

The East Bethany Presbyterian Church has a young church family with a long tradition. Our youth is our present and our promising future. With open arms and hearts our congregation strives to be welcoming and inclusive, as God’s love excludes no one.

We accept the challenge to change and grow. Our congregation is small, yet our young church family fosters the central idea that growth through change is a natural and necessary process. We aspire to further enhance our Christian education ministry through adult and children’s Sunday school classes, in addition to Bible study groups and seminars. This will expand the concept of faith and serving Christ the Lord in our congregation as well as the community at large.

Our congregation has acknowledged that as a whole, our ministry would greatly benefit from being better shepherds. Too often, we open our doors on Sunday mornings and hope that some of the sheep come in, never looking for those who have wandered off. It is essential to not only maintain our members’ ministry, but also strive to generate new members to serve the Lord at our church.

In addition to our ongoing community ministry and outreach programs, we envision assessing our community’s areas of need and implementing the essential programs for the betterment of the community.

We strive to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ as we walk together in love, watch over and care for one another, and remove barriers that stand in the way of the full realization of our faith.
