Alan was born and raised in Meadville, Pa. and then attended college at Cincinnati Bible Seminary in Cincinnati, Ohio from 1964-1968. In August of 1968 he was ordained into Christian ministry by the elders of his home church at Meadville.
Alan married his college sweetheart, Eileen (Rager) of Barberton, Ohio in 1967. Immediately they began a ministry in Rising Sun, In. and stayed there for 3 years. They then moved to Berry, Ky. in October of 1970 for a 2˝ year ministry. On July 1st of 1973 Alan and Eileen moved their family from Kentucky to Utica, Ohio. Their two boys Darin and Kevin were 5 and 3 at the time. They began their ministry at Utica during the 4th of July Celebration.
They felt at home as soon as they arrived since people made them feel like they had come home. This is still the feeling in the congregation as they try to make you feel like you have come to God as you come in to worship Him.
For over 40 years they have called people back to God. Many have responded to the message of grace. They invite you to come back to God for the first time or the 21st time.
