Valuable advice is given to Christians in Hebrews 10:25 "Not forsaking the
assembling of ourselves together as the manner of some is; but exhorting
one another, and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."
Clearly this can be interpreted as an admonition to attend church, but its
significance is even greater. The church was divinely designed by God
Himself to be a gathering, worshipping, and serving place for Christians on
their way to heaven. It is His church, not ours. We are stewards of His
church, and we will be held accountable for what we have done - or haven't
done - with His church. He is at the center, and our focus is to be upon
Him, not each other.
It has been said that the church is a hospital for sinners, not a museum
for saints. It is only by the grace of God that we are able to enter the
doors of the church. We bring with us the stains of the world, and we
leave forgiven and cleansed by the redeeming blood of Christ.
The purpose of the church is evangelism and edification - not emotions and
entertainment. We firmly adhere to the teachings of the Bible. God's Word
is a road map to heaven; therefore, our sermons and lessons are strongly
Bible based. We believe that the Holy Spirit uses preaching and teaching
to nurture and convert.
God has always taken care of His church at Zion. He is richly blessing us
in so many ways. You can feel the unity and vibrant spirit in each
service.
If you and your family are searching for a united church family where
there is "no creed but Christ," and "no book but the Bible," then we invite
you to worship with us. You'll find hope, encouragement, spiritual
guidance, and love.
Our doors are open!
