A PASSION FOR PRAYER
"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you."
The Bible teaches us that passionate praying produces. James 5:16 declares "…the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."
Why do we have to pray? It’s the rule of the kingdom: A.S.K. (ask, seek, knock). You see, we can’t achieve what we need, we can only receive. We don’t achieve salvation, we receive salvation. We don’t achieve Holy Spirit baptism, we receive Holy Spirit baptism. We don’t achieve anointing, we receive anointing. And we receive by a.s.k.ing.
Our society praises "over achievers." Scripture cautions against "under receivers." Anyone can receive if they just A.S.K. When we ask, seek, and knock on the door and, in His name make our requests known to our prayer-answering Savior, it is then that we receive the things that we can never achieve.
A.S.K. the One who can do more that we ask. Rely on the One who can do more than we think He can!
Pray passionately! Prayer works when everything else fails! Make prayer your passion!
