2012 the year of the invitation
Everyone is invited to St. Philip's as we begin a new year. May the Lord continue to bless our efforts as we serve our community. Look for an exciting contemporary service in the coming months. There's much to look forward to as we plan into this year. We give thanks and praise to God for all that we have and will be.
Wear Read February 5 Jan-22-2012
The Health and Wellness team invites everyone to wear red on Sunday, Feb. 5 in support of women's heart health. The American Heart Association ecourages everyone to adopt a healthy lifestyle which includes smart meal choices, regular exercise, and regular visits to your health care professionals. Bring a friend to church and remember to wear red!
It's a theater outing to see The Wiz! January 2012
We're planning a theater party to see The Wiz! The parish will attend the 2:30 p.m. performance on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at The Civic Theater. This performance is put on by YEPAW (Youth Excellence Performance Arts Workshop) and directed by our own Myron Lewis. Tickets are $10. Contact us 330.535-7295 if you have questions.
New acolyte training to begin soon
We're training youth ages 9 and over to service as acolytes. If you would like to assist the clergy during worship service, please contact the parish. This is a rewarding service provided by our youth.
