Trinity Lutheran Church, ELCA, Madison, Ohio

A Caring Place

There are many ways we can assist a neighbor in need. Through our regular offerings, we support the ELCA Benevolences. In our local area, there are a number of local agencies we can assist:

Madison Ministerial Association: An organization of churches in Madison who work together to provide Christmas baskets in December, community worship opportunities, the Madison CROP walk in May, and assistance programs throughout the year; as food pantries, and vouchers for food, gasoline, and special needs.

Madison Salvation Army: Intake is done at Trinity to assist residents of zip code 44057 in various types of need, as utility shut offs, rental problems, and other emergency situations. Information may be obtained through the church office (428-2473).

Project HOPE: A shelter for homeless people, located on Freedom Road in Painesville. Those assisted are given the option to receive job search training and assistance. Project HOPE has a wishlist; if anyone would like to assist them, call for information.

Madison Food Center: Trinity has been active in the support and work of the Food Center, located in the Lantern of Madison Building, at 2045 Hubbard Road. The phone at the Center is (440) 428-9601; and is open Tuesdays 1-3 and 5-7 and Fridays 9 - noon.  (The Food Center is located on the south side of the building.)
