Folks:

In a continuing effort to communicate as much as possible, as frequently as possible, and as completely as possible (and outside meetings, where possible) I wanted to provide you with this update.

Ed and Bill have received the first estimates for parking lot expansion. The first estimate is about $19,000 for the smallest lot with the most variance (the northwest corner of our lot) for 17 spaces. The next one is $23,000 for the the proposal that is alongside existing parking to the west, between the basketball hoop and the old parsonage wall, which would be 21 spaces. The final option we discussed is about $30,000 for the parking along the east side of the currently vacant lot south of the church building, between our lot and the school, which would be 40 spaces. As you can tell, buying in bulk is cheaper - the more spaces, the less it costs per space. The first option, 17 spaces in the northwest corner, comes in at $1,118 per space, while the school side of the back lot comes in at around $780/space. Of course, this is only one criteria, and probably not the most important one...

Anyway - please prayerfully consider this, as well.
