  • Contributions: Total for the past week: $1500. Weekly Church expenses $2500: Net operational funds = Net loss ($1,000).
  • Pledge Cards: Dolores Revelos and William Canada have made a commitment to the church by submitting a pledge card.

Community Offerings

· Study in Faith Series: Meets each Thursday@ 6:30p.m. Attendance is mandatory.

 

Father’s Corner Church services have been specifically scheduled to promote family welfare; your children need to taste Christ frequently!

· Father is interested in making a list of all shut-ins. If you know of someone who cannot attend church on a regular basis, please inform Father accordingly.

· Father’s office hours are: Tuesday-Thursday; 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Please schedule your appointments during those times.

· The placing of flowers on the altar and the iconostasis is a wonderful privilege and honor. A $20 donation to the church is requested to place flowers on the altar, and a $10 donation, to place flowers in front of the iconostasis.

· Altar Supplies needed on a regular basis: Pure olive oil (5 ltrs. at Costco); Spring Water (2˝ gal. jug); Communion Wine (St. John Commodore; American Concord)

Regional Events

  • Greek Taverna Night—Holy Trinity-St. Nicholas G.O.C., Cincinnati, OH, Sat., March 1, 6:30 p.m.; cost is $15.
  • Author Frederica Mathewes-Green will be guest speaker Saturday, May 3, at St. Demetrios G. O. C., 22909 Center Ridge Rd., Rocky River, OH. Everyone is invited.

  • New Items: Introduction to Orthodoxy, Fr. Antony Coniaris , $20; Daily Prayer Book for Orthodox Christians, Holy Cross Press, $12.50. Orthodox Study Bible (books of the Old and the New Testament), retailing @ $50, but offering a 10% discount—$45. Due to popular demand, the sale has been extended one more week (until Feb. 24)! 

 

Gioles Scholarship Fund of G.O. Archdiocese—3 scholarships $1500 each to high school seniors or full-time undergraduates at an accredited college or university; candidates must have a B or 3.0 gpa, supply transcripts with ACT and/or SAT scores, be available for inter-view, provide evidence of financial need, and submit application by April 18. Applications on-line: http://www.goarch.org/en/arch
