The staff at Zion Lutheran Church has spent many years devoted to the Christian faith. Our staff enjoys sharing that faith and knowledge with others in our church community. Here are a few of Zion Lutheran Church's staff members:

• Gerald Matzke (Senior Pastor)
  Pastor Matzke is the Sr. Pastor of Zion. He has served as a Pastor for 28 years. He has a love for music as he sings in the choir and also plays a guitar as part of the Praise Team. He is member of the PGA (that's Pastor's Golf Association).

• Jimmy Riley (Associate Pastor)
  Pastor Riley has a passion for teaching, equipping, and reaching those God loves that are close (believers) and those He loves that are far off (those who do not yet know their Savior or have stepped away). He is 17 yr. veteran Director of Christian Education (DCE), serving Zion for the last 12 yrs. 

• Cheri Frantz (Praise Team Coordinator / Youth Ministry Coordinator)
  Cheri has been our Youth Ministry Coordinator for 15+ years and our Contemporary Praise Team Coordinator for the last 5 yrs. Cheri brings a level of excellence to our Ministry Team with her love for youth and her love for praise music and worship.

• Barb Riley (Volunteer / Life Group Coordinator)
  Barb has a passion for people and love to get them in involved in various aspects of congregational life. She most recently had Stephen Ministry Leadership Training to help equip members of Zion in compassionate one-to-one ministry.

• James Koscik (Music Coordinator / Choir Director)
  Jim has been a part of the Zion Ministry Team for many years. He brings an excellence to the Music Ministry of Zion. The last 2 yrs he has cast the vision and brought the Boar's Head Christmas Celebration to Zion.

• Bill Patrick (Organist)
  Bill is renowned as one of the best organist in the Cleveland area and brings a level of excellence to Zion's Worship. He is the organist for Zion's annual Boar's Head Christmas Festival and the Lenten Choral Service.

• Janice Steffens (Organist)
  Jan has been assisting in Worship for over 50 years. She brings a wealth of experience and a passion to Zion's Worship Services.

• Carol Sippola (Office Administrator)
  Carol has a passion for people and valuable resource on Zion's Ministry Team for over 25 years.
